It would allow a grandfathering in of current dogs so people don’t have to
Put their current pets down & hopefully lesson the amount of new Pitt Bulls being born. It also puts everyone on standby that a complete banning is coming down the road. Pick some date out down the road, say 12-14 years, where they’re banned. After that the dogs get put down or maybe if the money is there to fund the dogs welfare, they can go to some registered Pitt Bull compound to live out their life but they will not be allowed to remain in a normal citizens house. Eventually, the dogs will mostly disappear in the USA anyways.
